My mother, she was 18 years old (she never talks about it) was along with her cousin Liesje (Elisabeth de Boer) on the Dam when the shooting started. She pulled Liesje behind a wooden flat cart and when the shooting stopped, they were brought to the hospital on the wooden flat cart.
According to my mother, Liesje died on the wooden cart, but in the list stands it happened the next day. My mother has always been struggling to keep herself in a crowd.
