Gevechtsaktie rapport M.S.Oxley

On May 7, 1945, in Amsterdam, a shootout between German soldiers and the Dutch resistance (N.B.S.) resulted in 22 civilian deaths and 125 injuries. Occurring mainly at the crowded Dam square, the incident led to roughly 11 German fatalities. Major C.F. Overhoff of the N.B.S. played a crucial role in restoring order, risking his life under heavy fire. His actions, which prevented further casualties, are recommended for official recognition by the Dutch Government.
